'Seismic change' for Warriors could lead Klay to Clippers

Thompson will be one of several top free agents potentially available this summer, alongside the likes of Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard.

The Golden State Warriors reportedly are bracing for some pretty big roster upheaval this summer, and Klay Thompson could be at the center of it.

ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski shed light on the thinking of Thompson, including the likelihood of the sharpshooter jumping to a Los Angeles team if the Warriors don't offer a maximum contract - $191 million over six years.

Similarly, Irving's best deal will also come from Boston Celtics when he enters free agency in the summer, but his backtracking from his verbal commitment to re-sign with them has seen many predicting he will join Durant in NY.

The New York Knicks and their fans still have a long way to go to be relevant again.

But the good news for Warriors' fans is that the Rockets will be in trouble if the three-peat-seeking champions ever put together a solid game. If Durant leaves the Warriors in the offseason, the likely opens more opportunity for Thompson within the team.

"Before Durant, [the Warriors] were still the best team", Sherman told ESPN.

The second tier in the free agency class includes Jimmy Butler, Tobias Harris, Kris Middleton, Kemba Walker, D'Angelo Russell and DeMarcus Cousins among others. They are followed by the Raptors and Lakers, who are each at 20-1. That's a lot of faith in a squad that has been pretty inept for the past few seasons, and those odds would make one think that the oddsmakers need serious help. Two other players who are still now competing in the NBA Playoffs along with Durant could certainly increase a teams championship odds for next season.

Sherman mentioned that if the Knicks did land both Durant and Irving that they still would not be the favorites but he "could see them at 12/1".
