OU’s Kyler Murray Picked First in NFL Draft

Murray, who attended Texas A&M and now Oklahoma University, was reportedly drafted first by the Oakland Athletics' that guaranteed him an outfielder position and a $4.6 million deal. "I used a poor choice of word that doesn't reflect who I am or what I believe".

"For those wondering: the Cardinals, after conversations with Kyler Murray's agent, are satisfied that there is a general philosophical agreement on contract language protecting the team in the event the QB made a decision to play baseball", Silver tweeted. "I would take him with the first pick of the draft if I could".

But after being awarded the 2018 Heisman Trophy that December, he opted to stick to his football roots, rejecting the Oakland Athletics contract, and going all in with the NFL - which assures him a four-year contract and more money than offered by the Major League Baseball, according to The New York Times.

The Miami Dolphins and the Arizona Cardinals have completed a trade that will send Josh Rosen to Miami.

Arizona subsequently selected University of MA wide receiver Andy Isabella, also dishing off a fifth-round pick to Miami.

Only time will tell if Grier met that goal, landing three eventual starters for the Dolphins during their extensive rebuild.

Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray was picked first overall in the NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. "While he is a bit shorter than most other NFL QBs, checking in at just 5'10 1/8" at the NFL combine, smaller quarterbacks with a similar game, like Russell Wilson, have shown that players like Murray can find success in the NFL.

Rosen was selected with the No. 10 pick in the 2018 draft. "But at the same time, this is where I wanted to be, and I'm just glad I'm here". Well, all that drama can now be over and thankfully for Kyler Murray, he did end up being the first overall pick.

Miami managed to essentially acquire Rosen by leasing their 2019 2nd round pick for 12 months. In fact, if the Dolphins are eyeing a future quarterback, Rosen is a flawless bridge/excuse to hold off on drafting one next year and pushing it back until 2021 rather than forcing things.
