Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Release Date, Trailer, Gameplay Details Revealed

At today's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order panel on the Celebration Stage, we learned a ton of new information about the upcoming video game, which its creators referred to as a "Jedi fantasy story game".

It was announced back in 2016 that Respawn was working on a brand new Star Wars adventure, though it wasn't until EA's E3 Conference a year ago when Zampella announced the title of the game. We can only imagine they'll be brutal forces in the game.

Fallen Order has been mysterious since its announcement.

Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker is released in United Kingdom cinemas on December 19, 2019. After Order 66, an event that occurred during Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith declaring all Jedi traitors to the Republic, Cal is forced to abide by three new rules: Don't Stand Out, Accept The Past, and Trust No One.

Prior to the game's panel at Star Wars Celebration, EA and Respawn announced that there will be no loot boxes and no microtransactions (small-value transactions that take place within games) featured in Jedi: Fallen Order. Abrams also directed Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, the first film in this sequel trilogy.

You also need to consider some of the creative talent working on the project, Stig Asmussen being a name many God of War fans are familiar with.

"When Respawn approached us with the idea for this game, we were immediately supportive", said Steven Blank, director of franchise content and strategy for the Lucasfilm Story Group.

Here's hoping more than a village will be there to play the game when it arrives. Their task is specifically to hunt and purge Jedi, and they're under orders from the new villain, an inquisitor nicknamed the Second Sinister. In this case though, we're getting a dedicated single-player, combat-focused game with no multiplayer and no microtransactions.

Though it was good news to hear that Leia's presence would continue in Star Wars 9 via footage of Fisher herself, it's not surprising to hear that her role will be limited. BD-1, both literally and figuratively, provides light in the darkness. "Its a story game", Zampella continued.
