Memorial held in Miami for slain rapper Nipsey Hussle

Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Nipsey Hussle's family were looking for a venue large enough to hold the rapper's massive fan base.

One week after the tragic shooting death of Nipsey Hussle, the Los Angeles rapper and philanthropist has returned near the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart as his GRAMMY-nominated Victory Lap has earned its way to No. 2 after millions flooded streaming services and other digital marketplaces to listen to the late emcee's catalog.

After the Clippers' final National Basketball Association game of the season on Wednesday, the stadium will be set up to accommodate mourners at the Thursday service, TMZ reported Saturday.

In a video posted to Instagram by Los Angeles radio personality Big Boy, the silent marchers in all of their various colors walked down West Slauson Avenue arriving at the site of Nipsey's store.

More than 100 people showed up outside the Old Courthouse Downtown Friday evening to hold a candlelight vigil for murdered rap star Nipsey Hussle. Feeling disrespected, the suspect went to get a gun and came back to carry out the murder. While both men had gang affiliations, the motive for the shooting does not appear to be gang-related.

The huge tribute rally started at a shop in Crenshaw and made its way towards Hussle's The Marathon Clothing store where he was shot on Sunday.

Eric Holder Jr, 29, accused of Nipsey Hussle's murder, pleaded not guilty on Thursday and had his bail set at $5million. He faces the possibility of life in prison if convicted.

The rapper released his debut studio album a year ago, "Victory Lap", which was nominated for a Grammy award. He owned many businesses in the area and was renowned for his kindness to the community, giving jobs to struggling residents, donating money and clothing to a local elementary school. In Los Angeles next week, the Staples Center will host the going home service for Hussle, a fitting honor for an artist of his caliber.
