Cristiano Ronaldo Comments On Injury

Portuguese squad captain Cristiano Ronaldo commented on his injury after he clutched the back of his leg during the Euro 2020 qualifying round, givemesport reported.

Speaking after the match, Ronaldo told reporters: "I'm not anxious because I know my body perfectly". It happens, it's football. "I should be back in one or two weeks".

Cristiano Ronaldo has assured Juventus fans he'll be fit for their Champions League quarterfinal with Ajax.

Ronaldo was brought to Turin to help Juventus achieve their Champions League ambition and scored a hat-trick in the Bianconeri 3-0 over Atletico Madrid to qualify for the last eight.

It was only Ronaldo's second appearance for the national team since the World Cup last summer in Russian Federation.

Ronaldo was forced off after just half an hour with a suspected hamstring injury, threatening to turn Fernando Santos' side's night from bad to worse having seen Dusan Tadic put the visitors a goal up after just seven minutes.

That comes after a draw with Ukraine in their first qualifier last week.

Some desperate defending by Serbia kept Portugal at bay in the dying minutes and Raphael Guerreiro missed the home side's final chance in stoppage time when he hit the side netting with a fierce shot from inside the penalty area.

"The assistant was there and I said that it was his fault".

In the group's other fixture, Ukraine came from behind to win 2-1 in Luxembourg, who suffered heartbreak with a late own goal by Gerson Rodrigues, and go top with four points from two games. "I think I'll be fine in a week or two", he told journalists at the Da Luz Stadium, according to Calciomercato.

Santos said: "We saw the incident in the dressing room afterwards and neither we nor he had any doubt - it was a penalty".
