McLaren OnePlus 6T Is the Speedtail of Smartphones

More specifically, OnePlus today announced the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, which ships with a few interesting improvements over the standard 6T. Well specifically this one is called Warp Charge 30, because it has 30 watts of power, and improves the existing fast charging stats by ten minutes.

Resolution aside it's a screen we were impressed by in our OnePlus 6T review so the same will probably hold true for the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition.

Rumours are rife that the new OnePlus 6T McLaren edition will come packing a whopping 10GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

There's also a commemorative plaque with an embedded McLaren carbon fibre logo and the accessories are orange rather than red - so you have an orange Warp Charge cable that's fabric covered and orange headphone adapter. "Our thanks to our OnePlus partners for capturing our spirit accurately and bringing unmatched power and speed in the new flagship device".

The rear camera setup on the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition - like the "regular" OnePlus 6T - is capable of shooting 4K videos at 60fps frame rate and supports Super Slow Motion Video mode with options for 1080p at 240fps and 720p at 480fps.

The limited edition OnePlus 6T phone will be launched in India at an event in Mumbai, that begins from 6pm IST. You'll also notice a subtle dot pattern on the phone under the glass rear, which is based on the auto maker's carbon fiber design. That means faster charging and the McLaren Edition will charge to 50 per cent battery in 20 minutes. The McLaren Edition also ships with 256GB of storage - something that's already available on higher-end standard 6Ts - and a fast charging technology OnePlus is calling Warp Charge 30. The OnePlus 6T is the first phone from the company sold directly by a USA carrier, which gets it in front of more consumers who had previously never heard of OnePlus.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the smartphone flaunts a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch.

The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition goes on sale for $699 on December 13, at 10:00 AM EST. By comparison, the McLaren Edition is charging Rs 5,000 extra. There is an outer slip that states Salute to Speed in bold black letters with the OnePlus logo in the bottom left and McLaren log with Speedmark in the bottom right.
