'Just Ask Hillary': 'Outnumbered' on Impact of Oprah, Hollywood on Midterm Voters

Last week, District Judge Leigh Martin May issued a temporary restraining order blocking the state of Georgia from throwing out absentee ballots and applications in cases where a voter's signature didn't match their paperwork. It was filed against Secretary of State Brian Kemp, the state's top elections official and the Republican candidate for governor. Abrams and Kemp are virtually tied, according to recent polling.

Stacey Abrams' supporters gathered under the pavilion at the closed Home Depot in the Westgate Mall Shopping Center on Friday for Abrams' Early Voting Bus Tour.

"We now talk to more than 700 voters on an average day, and call volume has picked up considerably", Democratic Party of Georgia spokesman Seth Bringman said of their voter protection hotline.

As a result of policies Secretary Kemp has seen to, tens of thousands of majority-Black potential Georgia voters have seen their applications placed on hold.

"All of us may have been created equal, but if you're woke. you've got sense enough to know that everybody is not treated equally", she said. "She's a woman who dared believe she could change the state of Georgia".

Real Clear Politics, which tracks several polls to give an average idea of where a race is standing, shows Kemp with just a one-point lead ahead of next week's vote.

Julie Houk, a lawyer for the civil rights groups, said that's not what's happening.

"Well, I think they would want them to vote, but not certainly not vote based on one's identity", Aubrey Shines said in a video message.

"I'd like to remind Stacey and Oprah and Will Ferrell, I'm kind of a big deal, too", said Pence, who is not from Georgia.

The robocall went out to Georgia voters, but it is unclear how many received it.

Kemp's spokeswoman, Candice L. Broce, called the ruling "a minor change to the current system". In a separate ruling, Judge Ross acknowledged that Georgia already has a process in place to check citizenship at the polls.

The same neo-Nazi group had targeted Gillum with racist robocalls after he won the Democratic Florida gubernatorial nomination in the late-August primary and again in October.
