Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are reportedly engaged

But director Ali Abbas Zafar appeared to allude to the engagement when he announced that Chopra was leaving the film "Bharat", a historical drama about modern India.

Forget scripts and song lyrics - actress Priyanka Chopra and musician Nick Jonas are reportedly ready to say "I do". "It was a little unprofessional of her to do it so suddenly".

If a mid-day report is to be believed then Salman already had an inkling that Priyanka might exit from the film and hence he had already initiated talks with his ex lover Katrina Kaif during their Dabangg Reloaded Tour in the US. Bharat producer, Nikhil Namit called her unprofessional.

Congratulations are in order for Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra. Other names including that of Jacqueline are also being tossed around. It was a hush-hush shoot and only the unit knows about it. Priyanka, Viacom and I are still making that film together. "Beat it", she added. Apparently, Salman is taking the call for these roles so PeeCee thought that she might face the same problem that Jacqueline Fernandez faced in Race 3 - of getting sidelined by Daisy Shah and the rest. In Bharat, besides Tabu, Disha and Nora there's also Sunil Grover and Aasif Sheikh. Zafar wished her the best for her future.

Another source told mid-day that Priyanka was keeping the makers of Bharat in the loop about her probable resignation from the project. An engagement is a happy time and nobody can grudge her that, not even Salman, who initially was apparently very upset about her walk-out.

People.com has quoted a source as saying the couple got engaged a week ago on Priyanka's 36th birthday on July 18 while the two were in London.

Chopra, who is great friends with Markle, attended the royal wedding on May 19, around the time she and Jonas started dating. PeeCee's exit was confirmed by the director of the film, Ali Abbas Zafar in a rather cryptic manner.
