Trump, Kim co-star in U.S.-made summit film mixing propaganda, Hollywood

It was the first meeting between a sitting USA president and a North Korean leader.

The entire world was riveted by television images of President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un shaking hands in front of a backdrop of North Korean and US flags, walking to and from lunch, checking out Trump's limousine and finally signing a summit declaration.

President Trump met with North Korea's Kim Jong Un on Tuesday, leading to a summit that was filled with pomp but lacked in details.

Mr Trump later said he would halt U.S. military exercises in South Korea, something widely seen as a concession.

He also announced that he would halt United States military exercises in South Korea, something widely seen as a concession as Pyongyang has long claimed they are invasion rehearsals.

The two leaders simply underscored their "firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula".

Signing a joint statement, President Trump agreed to provide security guarantees to North Korea and Chairman Kim reaffirmed his commitment to the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Trump declared he and Kim had developed "a very special bond".

Trump says in the video that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is beginning talks with the North on implementing the accord. It appears to be composed nearly entirely of generic stock footage and old news clips, including images of Trump and Kim smiling. Trump flew there directly from Canada where he left the elitists of the G-7 group who were completely shocked and stunned that America no longer was willing to bend down and ask these glorified Socialist leaders to spank us "harder than last time".

Thirteen seconds. That's how long the American and North Korean leaders shook hands at the start of their summit Tuesday.

President Donald Trump today said that he would soon like to have a "real deal" with Iran, weeks after he unilaterally pulled the USA out of the landmark agreement signed by the Obama administration along with other world powers. "For them, the days became weeks, and the weeks became months, then years, and now, sadly, decades", the letter said. The red tie that Trump wears may also show some respect to Kim as well, it's the colour that North Koreans like.

Perdue emphasized that it is also "totally premature" to discuss the United States withdrawing its nuclear umbrella from the Korea peninsula in exchange for the total denuclearization of North Korea. It did not include an agreement to take steps toward ending the technical state of warfare between the USA and North Korea.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe praised President Trump's "leadership and effort", saying he supported North Korea's pledge on denuclearisation as "a step towards the comprehensive resolution of issues around North Korea". Yes, this is preferable to nuclear war - but that doesn't mean that Trump wasn't snookered.

"We don't know what type of person the North Korean leader is negotiating with".

"We're the big guys with nuclear weapons, not South Korea, not Japan, not China, even their main benefactor", Richardson said. -South Korea military maneuvers may be in doubt and was showered with effusive praise from a president who just previous year derided him as "little rocket man".

A senior North Korean official may be in attendance at an global conference set for June 14 and 15 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and the Japanese Foreign Ministry is planning to dispatch a high-ranking official of its own to try and make contact.

Pope Francis led thousands of people in St. Peter's Square in prayer June 10, expressing hopes the summit would lead to lasting peace. The North Koreans, like their counterparts, the Palestinians and Iranians, are not necessarily bound by their given word.
