After Congress, Modi-led BJP to fast over parliament washout

Attempts are being made to make the movement of this fasting act universal, as hashtag Fast with Modi began to trend quite early in the morning, with people being asked to change their display picture to a note, that said, "I am on Fat on 12th April".

The Prime Minister also praised the Bihar government under chief minister Nitish Kumar and said the state government would never compromise on corruption and would continue making honest efforts for the betterment of the people. All BJP MPs will observe fast in their respective constituencies, the party said.

"The Prime Minister will observe a fast even while engaged in his official duty and official engagements", BJP spokesperson G.V.L. Narsimha Rao told IANS.

The ruling BJP has blamed the opposition, led by the Congress party, for the washout of the budget session.

He is going to observe this fast to show his protest against the recent washout of Parliament blaming the opposition for the disruption. "I will be fasting".

The tag line of DefExpo this year is??India: The Emerging Defence Manufacturing Hub? to showcase Indias capability in export of defence systems and components, the statement said. "The 12,000 HP engines, the first of which rolled out on Tuesday, will help significantly improve the speed of goods trains", Modi said. Addressing BJP MPs through audio conferencing on Wednesday evening, he urged the legislators and party leaders to expose the crime committed by the Congress to the world by holding fast across the country.

Modi had announced a fast by BJP MPs last week at a party meeting where he had accused the Congress of taking parliamentary proceedings "to a new low" with its conduct in the House.

The budget session of Parliament started on January 29 and went into a break on February 9.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh had on Saturday (April 7) written to Vice President and Rajya Sabha chairman Venkaiah Naidu, urging the latter to convene a special two-week session in May-June to make up for time lost during the Budget Session, which was marred by disruptions.
