Singer wows 'Idol' judges: Hickory's Johnny White headed for Hollywood

"Oh, you don't have to be sorry, ' Perry replied". We can't wait to follow along with Maddie throughout this season of American Idol!

Taylor went on to say that her rival later did something bad enough to make it clear they will never be friends. "I love [Swift] as a songwriter as well". Cautious before answering, he admitted: "I'm sorry for this Katy ..."

At that point, Swift began to project her image as being above the fray. She then went on Carpool Karaoke and declared that it was Swift's job to finish their fight because she started it.

"I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! Especially when someone tries to assassinate my character with little girls [her fans]", she explained, according to Refinery 29. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. So now I have to avoid her. Fans are accusing Katy of reigniting the war between her and Taylor. She kept silent while Perry went on a press tour for "Swish Swish" and her album "Witness".

Katy's name was immediately linked to the comments but Katy finally addressed the feud during her Carpool Karaoke with James Corden in May 2017.

Singing coach Jackie Finley accompanied White to his audition and thanked the judges for seeing the talent she saw in him three years ago at Hickory Career and Arts Magnet High School. Right away, Swift reportedly felt betrayed by Perry's behavior and years later, in 2015, she released her song "Bad Blood", which was believed to have been inspired by Perry.

American Idol airs on Sundays and Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
