Will You Watch Ryan Seacrest Host The E! Oscars Show?

However, in light of the Hollywood sex scandal, publicists are instead keen to direct their clients towards Seacrest's red-carpet co-host Giuliana Rancic or skip E! altogether.

This year, however, Seacrest's appearance was marred by allegations of sexual harassment.

On Sunday, very few celebrities made their usually traditional stops on the Red Carpet to speak with Seacrest.

"I, Tonya" star Allison Janney is up for best supporting actress at the Oscars, and she answered Seacrest's questions about tackling the role of Tonya Harding's mother and learning about the nomination. "You know what I mean?" said the star of last year's "Hidden Figures".

Seacrest's "Live" co-host Kelly Ripa didn't mention the allegations specifically on Thursday, but she gushed about her excitement over his Oscar duties as she issued a strong endorsement of his character.

Other female interviewees were either presenting or supporting cast members from nominated films.

Seacrest, who appeared moved by her declaration, thanked her and hugged her.

She also claimed to bosses that he grabbed her crotch on the E! set. Sofia Carson, host of the "Oscars: All Access" special, also stopped by. Should Seacrest be more thoroughly investigated?

The E! red carpet show at the Academy Awards felt as if it was on the brink of blowing up at a moment's notice, with a sexual harassment claim against the host, Ryan Seacrest, hanging over the festivities. He is pictured at the Grammys on January 28, 2018 in NY.

26, Seacrest's former E! stylist, Suzie Hardy, was revealed as the individual behind the previously anonymous allegations.

Hardy worked as Seacrest's "E!"

A month ago, the cable network announced that an independent investigator hired to look into Hardy's claims found "insufficient evidence" of wrongdoing on Seacrest's part.

Ryan Seacrest's return to the red carpet debuted with little fanfare during Oscars Sunday.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, E! even put a 30-second delay on its live broadcast from the red carpet, which would help in case awkward interview situations arise. E!

An E! spokesperson however suggested that it is normal practice to offer a "brief delay" between interviews.
