Ex-Dolphin Jonathan Martin detained by police over social media post

Harvard-Westlake high school in California closed after former Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Jonathan Martin mentioned the school in a disturbing post about bullying that featured a rifle.

Former Stanford and 49ers offensive lineman Jonathan Martin has reportedly been detained by police after a recent social media post of his displayed a rifle, ammunition and names of former teammates in the NFL.

Harvard Westlake School, a private school that Martin attended before his National Football League days, was closed on Friday after school officials became aware of the online post.

"Out of abundance of caution, and because the safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our top priority, we made the decision to close school today", the school said in a statement.

Law enforcement tells TMZ Sports. Incognito was suspended indefinitely by the Dolphins and sat out the entire 2014 season before he was signed by the Bills in 2015.

According to TMZ, Johnathan Martin was the subject of a bullying scandal back in 2013.

The threat was taken as a serious threat by his former high-school which went on lock-down shortly after the post was made on Instagram. The post mentioned that suicide and revenge were the only options for a victim of bullying.

ABC7 reported that Martin had been taken into custody, but an LAPD spokesman would not confirm this with the Daily News. Jerry left the team after the season, but Pouncey remains a valued - and highly paid - member of the organization. But he resurfaced Thursday when he posted a chilling story on his Instagram page.

One source at Harvard-Westlake said Martin has been detained over the incident, though police said there was "no credible threat" against students. That came a week after the school shooting in Parkland, Fla. He later admitted to depression and said he had attempted suicide.
