Train rams selfie-clicking Hyderabad youth

It appears that he stood too close to the track and the train brushed past him at high speed, throwing him off his feet.

Earlier, an undated video has surfaced on social media showing a death-defying stunt by a Kashmiri man, in which he lies on a railway track while a speeding train passes over him.

The train looks, from the angle of the camera, like it might just take a glancing blow a his hand, but at the very last second it hits the man square in the back of the head.

Mr. Siva is one of many in India who have tried taking videos and selfies near trains. The Incident took place at Bharatnagar railway station here three days ago.

Shiva suffered serious injuries and is now being treated in a hospital, but it is believed he will survive. Last year, several people lost their lives in similar attempts.

The engineer of the train kept sounding the horn, but Kumar kept on filming, assuming he was far enough away from the track to avoid a collision. A spokesperson for the South Central Railway of India spoke to the BBC and said that the man fell down the side of the track and suffered a head injury.

As the number of selfie deaths reached disturbingly high recently, the police officials of different states had cautioned against such unsafe misadventures.

They later said he wanted to "touch the train" as it passed.

Days after a video of a death-defying stunt by a Kashmiri man shocked the nation, another video has emerged, in which a Hyderabad man is seen attempting a risky selfie.
