Jurgen Klopp praises Liverpool's defensive improvement

Oxlade-Chamberlain's move to the North West saw him struggle to adapt to his new team and surroundings - making only six starts in 19 Premier League and Champions League games - since joining Liverpool shortly after making his last appearance for Arsenal in the 4-0 humiliation at the end of August.

And ahead of Liverpool's trip to the Emirates Stadium on Friday night, Wenger highlighted the wealth of attacking options at Klopp's disposal as a key issue.

Liverpool's Fab Four, as they have been dubbed, have scored 50 goals between them already this season and Wenger concedes he faces a dilemma over whether to play a four-man or three-man defence.

And he rapped: "The biggest improvement for Oxlade-Chamberlain is being involved in goalscoring situations".

After a fairly slow start to his Liverpool career, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been producing some eye-catching performances of late. "You have to perform immediately. I have some more time to think about that", he added.

"If you watched Arsenal in the past, the two decisive players were (Alexis) Sanchez and (Mesut) Ozil".

Liverpool have just three more matches before the January transfer window opens, bringing with it the inevitable speculation regarding potential new signings.

Klopp said: "Against us most of the time (Olivier) Giroud played from the beginning, so that says a little bit about the style of Arsenal they have chosen against us very often".

Liverpool will head into Friday's match against Arsenal a changed side-a more defensively capable side.

"They have plenty of offensive players, and looking at them recently they have changed a lot of their team [between games]. They will have a strong side, whoever will play".

And the Frenchman backed his side to "make up for" their mauling at Anfield four months ago, urging them to "play with pace and a determined attitude".

"For example, Alberto Moreno did fantastic this season".
