Klopp wants more consistency from Liverpool players

Coutinho was also asked about whether his first-half goal was his best ever strike for Liverpool, but focused more on the benefit of getting back to winning ways after successive draws.

"We didn't get our game going today and when you don't perform against the top teams, you're going to get punished", Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said.

"We could have scored more, but we didn't really give a lot away so it was well deserved and I enjoyed the performances".

"I like them all, that's why they are at Liverpool". "But I should have maybe made two or three changes".

- Mo Salah became the first Premier League player to reach 20 goals in all competitions this season. "I have areas to improve and I know that, but I'm trying to do the things the manager wants".

Goals from Phillip Coutinho, Dejan Lovren in the space of six minutes gave Liverpool a 2-0 lead after 25 minutes.

Salah then made it 3-0 before half-time after an excellent run, and Roberto Firmino completed the dismantling heading in Coutinho's cross about twenty minutes into the second half. The result lifted Jurgen Klopp's side above Arsenal into fourth place. "Usually you have to get a goal to be Man of the Match!"

With less than 11 minutes played, Nathan Ake was booked for tugging Firmino down on the edge of the box and Coutinho saw a sweetly-struck free-kick hit the inside of the right-hand upright and bounce away from goal.

Firmino nearly doubled that lead with an effort which deflected wide after excellent work by the ever-dangerous Salah. The Brazilian raced down the left and used teammate Andrew Robertson as a decoy before cutting inside past two players and squeezing a shot inside the post to make it 1-0 after 20 minutes.

Liverpool added a second six minutes later when Firmino stopped the ball crossing the byline by hooking it into the six-yard box on the volley for Lovren to finish with a diving header.

Junior Stanislas set up a good chance for Jermain Defoe before halftime, sending the striker clean through on goal - only to see him shoot against the left-hand post rather than into the net.
