THIS is Why Apple's New iMac Pro Costs $4999

The iMac Pro gets the first major specification bump to Apple's all-in-one desktop computer in almost two years. It works on the MacOS platform and is widely hailed as one of the most powerful computers ever to have been made for the general public.

First unveiled at WWDC 2017 in June, the revamped desktop the same 5K Retina display that has already been available with the existing 27-inch iMac.

Apple gave an early access to videos of iMac Pro to some of the YouTubers. The idea with the iMac Pro is that this computer is not only wildly fast - has to be at that price - but also lovely with a minimalistic design.

As far as the graphics power is concerned, the iMac Pro computer series boast Radeon Pro Vega GPUs that have 11 teraflops single precision as well as 22 teraflops half precision. These will be the 10-core variant, which is also going on sale in select markets from tomorrow.

Apple has claimed that this is the most powerful Mac yet and is a must-have for working professionals around the world.

On the connectivity front, there's a 3.5mm headphone jack, four Thinderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports, four USB 3 ports, an Ethernet port, and a SDXC card slot with support for UHS-II.

"Sitting alongside my silver iMac, the iMac Pro lurked off to the side like a silent Darth Vader, just waiting to kick some arse". When Apple actually reveals the price of its various upgrades on Thursday, it should become more clear whether 64 GB or 128 GB promises the better return on investment. The base model packs an 8-core Xeon processor, 32 GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD.

Confirmed by Cabel Sasser, one of the lucky early reviewers of the iMac Pro is that the next-generation device includes a brand new T2 chip. However, he also points out that for the hardware you get, "I don't think the price is that insane".

The iMac pro comes with a sleek Space Gray enclosure. There is no information as to when the iMac Pro will be available in India.
