Irate passenger arrested after threatening passengers on plane

"Our Crew in command of Flight 2943 traveling from Portland on Saturday afternoon safely landed on-time in Sacramento following an inflight disturbance", KRON4 TV quoted a statement from Southwest airlines as saying. "I have a destination for myself and I need to go there", she yells.

Some airline passengers on their way from Portland to Sacramento experienced a terrifying moment, when a lady became irate and allegedly threatened the passengers.

Officials say the woman tampered with a smoke detector and lit up in the plane's bathroom.

THIS footage captures the terrifying moment a woman had a mid-air meltdown on a packed jet and screamed: "I will f***ing kill everyone on this plane". "I will kill everybody on this f--ing plane". "Our crew requested law enforcement meet the flight and they took over from there".

'Our reports from flight attendants indicate a customer violated federal laws by both smoking on board an aircraft and by tampering with a smoke detector in an aircraft restroom.

According to sources, flight attendants caught Valerie Curbelo attempting to smoke in the bathroom.

A passenger recorded her outburst once she was returned to her seat.

The station also announced that Curbelo is now booked in the Sacramento county jail for making criminal threats. Asked why she said she'd kill everyone, Curbelo merely said she didn't know and that "it was not me".

Curbelo was arrested after the plane landed at the Sacramento International Airport. The witness then said the person removed an oxygen mask as she got "more uncontrollable".

Curbelo was arrested and taken to jail, where she agreed to an interview with CBS13.

Per the Sacramento Bee, she is being held on $75,000 bail and has been charged with three felony counts of threats to commit a crime resulting in death.
