Bayonetta 3 will be a Switch exclusive, Nintendo reveals

Bayonetta 1&2 are also heading to the Nintendo Switch on the 16th of February.

In addition to an announcement of Bayonetta 3, Nintendo revealed an upcoming Switch port of Bayonetta 2, packaged with the original Bayonetta.

We got a peek at Japan's "Bayonetta Non-Stop Climax Edition" featuring both Bayonetta games, and Europe is getting something similar with the "Bayonetta Special Edition". But, if past installments are any indication, this new entry should be an action-adventure hack and slash title. The company confirms that PlatinumGames is now developing Bayonetta 3 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has also confirmed during The Game Awards that Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2 bundles are also arriving on Nintendo Switch.

Bayonetta will run you $49.99/ €49.99/ £49.99 digitally through the eShop. With Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 coming to Switch in 2018, it's likely we won't see Bayonetta 3 until 2019.

Buying the digital version of Bayonetta will cost you $29.99/ €29.99/ £29.99 and then Bayonetta 2 will run you $29.99/ €29.99. In the teaser, she was also attacked by a purple ghost-like creature which apparently makes Bayonetta disappear. Nintendo is having massive success with their new console, the Nintendo Switch, and seem to slowly be bringing most of their Wii U exclusives over to it.

It's not known when Bayonetta 3 will arrive, with the trailer simply stating that it's "in development".
