Kevin Spacey's Scenes Are Being Totally Replaced In A Just-Finished Movie

Kevin Spacey been cut out of a leading role as United States oil tycoon J. Paul Getty in a film about the 173 kidnapping of the oil tycoon's grandson, weeks before it is due to be released in cinemas.

But rather than push the film to 2018, Deadline reports that Sony is cutting Spacey out of the movie, reshooting his scenes with Oscar victor Christopher Plummer, and keeping the film's December release date.

All The Money In The World was originally set to premiere at the American Film Institute's film festival on 16 November, but the release was pushed back to 22 December after the allegations against Spacey surfaced.

I write this all keeping in mind that, in addition to Scott's decision being the right one, it must have been motivated in large part by Spacey's newfound status within Hollywood as a financial liability-the scandal would likely have tanked the movie.

The news follows a wave of sexual assault allegations made against Spacey by over a dozen people, including multiple accusations of assault on underage victims.

Ridley Scott has axed Kevin Spacey from his latest big screen outing 'All The Money In The World', just over a month before it's due to hit cinema screens. His mother tries to persuade Getty to pay the random for her son after Italian gangsters captured him.

According to the report, all of Spacey's scenes will be reshot, with co-stars Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams expected to participate.

The 58-year-old actor was recently faced with allegations of sexual assault from Heather Unrah, who in a press conference claimed Spacey grabbed her 18-year-old son's genitals inside a bar on Nantucket Island. The news of comes after Netflix had said that they would also not be involved with any further production of House of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey.

Broadway star Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of attempting to molest him when he was a teenager at a party in the 1980s.
