Kevin Spacey: Journalist claims actor sexually assaulted teen son

A former longtime Boston television news anchor is planning to hold a press conference accusing Kevin Spacey of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old family member. She said a concerned woman noticed that her son was emotionally disturbed and urged him to "run".

Unruh said her son chose not to report the alleged incident to police at the time out of fear and embarrassment.

"I want to see Kevin Spacey go to jail", Unruh told reporters during a press conference Wednesday.

Unruh, who was a face of WCVB (Ch. 5) for 15 years until her departure last fall, fought back tears as she started to recount what her son said happened in July 2016.

Unruh said that last week, her son filed a police report and handed over evidence to the Nantucket police.

Police said they couldn't confirm a report was filed because sexual assault reports are confidential. "When my son was drunk, Spacey made his move". An unknown woman stepped forward and told the young man to leave the restaurant.

A few weeks later, she said: "The dominoes are falling".

"To Kevin Spacey I want to say this: Shame on you for what you did to my son and shame on you for using your apology to Anthony Rapp to come out as a gay man", said Unruh on Wednesday.

Spacey has said he was "beyond horrified" by Rapp's previous claim of assault. That was an appalling attempt to deflect attention from what you really are - a sexual predator.

She also spoke directly to Spacey.

The House of Cards star apologized to Rapp on October 29, saying he did not remember the incident after more than 30 years.

Spacey has now been accused of sexual misconduct by almost a dozen actors, directors and production assistants. But now, she added, "he's committed to doing what he can to stop Kevin Spacey from victimizing anyone else".

Rapp, the actor best known for his role in the Broadway production of "Rent", last week claimed that Spacey made sexual advances against him in 1986, when he was 14.

In response, the Los Gatos-based streaming service cut ties with Spacey, who starred in and executive produced the show for six seasons.

Since then, other allegations have surfaced and the Oscar-winning star said he is seeking "evaluation and treatment".
