Tottenham skipper Lloris: Kane doesn't have to worry about Messi, Ronaldo

He has now scored five goals in two Champions League appearances this season, meaning that he is currently the top-scoring payer in the competition.

And Pochettino thinks Kane is up there with Ronaldo, if not better.

"He is one of the best but I don't want to say I am in love with him, like I did after Saturday's win at West Ham".

"A big challenge. I think they will be very motivated to play against us and have had the whole week to prepare for the game against Tottenham", he said.

The England worldwide has netted 11 goals in seven games this month, after a barren spell in August, and comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have continued to swirl around him.

"Ronaldo and Messi - they are from another galaxy but Harry has got so much potential to become one of the best", Lloris said.

With Mauricio Pochettino's side now featuring on the same Champions League stage as Real Madrid and Barcelona, Kane claims his desire to be considered among the world's elite strikers grows each time his name is mentioned alongside the likes of Ronaldo or Messi.

Cape Town - Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has revealed that he finds inspiration in the staggering goal-scoring records held by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

"I never said he is better than Cristiano Ronaldo, this is a good opportunity to clarify", he added.

"I'd like to see him stay there long term". They are the best and are showing that for the last five to 10 years.

"He is one of the best strikers in the world and because he's still so young, he can improve", the Argentine told reporters on Thursday.

"All the strikers that have this type of level they have something special in front of goals". We are not surprised about Harry, we know his talent, his skills, his aptitude to score goals and important goals.

"I felt we maybe didn't play our best, it wasn't fantastic the performance, but it was a tough game to win". I can not joke about that because both are fantastic.
