Google Pixel 2 billboard in Boston hints at an October 4 launch

Previously, few leaks from last month claimed that the next Google Pixel smartphones will be officially announced on October 5. Until now that is.

The original Pixel, which launched in October 2016, replaced the Nexus as Google's premium phone line.

Beyond the announcement date, Google is only teasing new features with billboards that have been spotted Boston (via a tip from Droid-Life) and a video posted to its YouTube channel. Two devices are expected to arrive - the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL and the latter just popped up on FCC.

Next, Google essentially confirms that these questions are valid points.

Under the hood, the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel XL 2 will once again sport the current flagship chipset, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835. Now it seems that more Pixel 2 information has surfaced as it has made its way through the FCC certification process.

Moreover, it looks like Google is swapping out defective Nexus 6P phones even if they're not under warranty, but they're offering replacements only to those who bought them through Google Store. After the recent launch of Galaxy Note 8 by Samsung and the iPhone X by Apple. The smaller Pixel 2 is understood to be a more direct successor to the 2016 devices and will feature an nearly identical look with regularly sized bezels, as well as a 16:9 screen.

Google unveiled the Pixel & Pixel XL smartphones, and they attracted many customers and critic. Aside from that, we are also expecting an "active edge" feature, allowing users to squeeze the sides of their phone to activate certain features, like Google Assistant.

"Why does my phone take such blurry videos from afar" was the question I queried last weekend after attending the Trace Adkins concert at the Los Angeles County Fair.
