Janet Jackson Breaks Down Onstage During Performance of "What About" in Houston

In a heartbreaking moment caught on film by fans in the crowd, Janet Jackson broke down in tears onstage in the middle of her Houston, Texas, concert on Saturday night. Jackson, who is in the midst of a divorce from estranged husband Wissam Al Mana, father of her newborn son, Eissa, struggled to get through the lyrics to the defiant tune.

After doubling over for a quick recovery from the emotional outbreak, she lifted back up for a more personal statement that's not a lyric in the single: "This is me".

Her upbeat hits are still on the set list, including Billboard Hot 100 #1 tracks such as All For You, Miss You Much and That's The Way Love Goes. She then stands up and says, "This is me".

After postponing touring over a year ago to start a family, the singer looked as though she had never been away from the stage while performing at the Cajundome. She is now in the process of divorcing his father, Wissam Al Mana, her husband of five years. The two were an item from 2010 until May of this year.

Fans took to social media to express their concern, offering condolences to the star. Asides her great voice and outstanding performance, her outfit for her performance also caught attention.

Jackson had also appeared emotional after performing the song at her first concert stop in Lafayette, Louisiana on Thursday.

The show received high marks from critics who praised the performer for her on-point moves after giving birth in January of this year and dropping a reported 60+ pounds in just a span of months.
