Odell Beckham traveled to Dallas, may still sit vs. Cowboys

The game will be aired nationally on Sirius XM Radio channel 88, 157 (Spanish language broadcast), 83 (Cowboys broadcast) and 225 (Giants broadcast). With only five more touchdowns than interceptions on his ledger a year ago, Manning suffered through one of his weakest overall seasons. There's no reason to risk long-term injury in order for him to play in an early-season game. NY added more weapons this off-season to pair with OBJ. Beginning on Sunday night, he'll have to back that up and Flowers will have to follow suit.

For the Giants, Jason Pierre-Paul will be key to stopping Elliott.

It seems implausible the Giants will keep him out for such a big matchup. This one shapes up to be a prime time thriller and even without Beckham this figures to be a tight divisional show down and getting the Giants with more than a field goal in a game they could win outright is a gift.

Beckham told SNY's Taylor Rooks on Friday that he was "feeling a lot better", but had a "long evening of rehab" ahead.

Offseason pickup Brandon Marshall, a former No. 1 receiver in his own right, will likely see an increased role Sunday night.

Should Beckham sit out, the team's offensive ceiling could crash to the ground.

Beckham, 24, caught 101 passes for 1,367 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.

Series Notes: The Cowboys have dominated the Giants in this division rivalry.

Without Beckham the following week at Minnesota, the Giants were embarrassed, 49-17, with Eli Manning tying a season-high with three interceptions, while completing 15-of-29 passes and finishing with a 50.7 passer rating. Last season, during two victories against Dallas a quarterback notorious for turning the ball over threw just two picks.

As much as Beckham wants it to be all about the greatness - and make no mistake, he is one of the most electrifying players in the game, capable of ridiculous one-handed grabs and absurd open-field runs - history has proven he can't always avoid the distractions. Their top-ranked rush defense should stymie a Giants running attack that's hardly intimidating.
