Destiny 2 Wheels Out the Live Action Trailer to Drum Up Hype

So begins the live action trailer which Bungie just released to promote the September 6 release of Destiny 2 on console. The official Destiny 2 reveal trailer, "Rally the Troops", shows two of the Vanguard, leaders of the Guardians, inspiring the people of the last city in an impassioned (and occasionally sarcastic) call to arms.

What did you think of the Destiny 2 live-action trailer? Alongside three fresh-faced Guardians, players are introduced into an action-packed adventure that will pit players against a psycho rhino named Ghaul, in order to save Earth from the nefarious Red Legion. On September 6, it's time to grab some big guns, unite our scattered heroes, and take back our home. "I was sort of looking at commercials and TV stuff". The actual mega fans of Destiny need to be able to watch this and say 'I'm proud of this. Luckily, Eric Hirshberg (Activision CEO) is from MI as well and saw that and said, 'Alright, cool, let's do that.' So, the job kept getting sweeter and sweeter for me.

"I just can't say enough incredible things about the guys up there, [Destiny 2 Director] Luke Smith and the artists and the animators", he said. Even if you aren't a gamer, this trailer may be enough to get you playing Destiny 2. From what Nathan Fillion brings to Cayde-6 to what Ken Seng the director of photography brought to the visual aesthetic of this spot, it was all in service of further realizing the Destiny world in a live action environment. Vogt-Roberts also talked a bit about how the whole thing came about and the creative process that went into making this trailer.
