Srinagar (J and K), July 04 (ANI): A ruckus took place inside the Jammu and Kashmir assembly over the implementation of Goods and Services Tax bill.
The Jammu and Kashmir government has convened a special four-day session of the assembly to discuss the GST implementation which needs a constitutional amendment by the legislature so that the new tax regime is adopted in the state.
"Presently, we are allowing taxes in tourism in Kashmir and industry in Jammu region, " the Deputy Speaker said, adding that "once we surrender our powers under GST, we can not do anything even if we would like to help these industries".
