Assassin's Creed Origins brings the stabby stab to Ancient Egypt

More details about Assassin's Creed: Origins were revealed at Ubisoft's E3 press conference, starting with their epic cinematic trailer filled with slo-mo fighting and stunning visuals. The new instalment is reported to be released across all platforms on 27 October.

Assassin's Creed Origins is a brand new experience.

For the last four years, the team at Ubisoft Montreal behind Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag has been crafting a new beginning for the Assassin's Creed franchise.

The motto of the game are the following words - "as the Empire falls, there is brotherhood". This is similar to the earlier leak a few days back showing a retail pre-order card.

These most recent leaks confirm the protagonist as Bayek, who begins the game as a Madjay, a member of this civilization's police force.

All things considered, with Assassin's Creed: Origins having been revealed just recently, it stands to reason that there's still plenty more to learn about the title, so it's important to reserve judgment regarding the content of its full construction.

Ubisoft chose to take some time off to revamp the Assassin's Creed franchise so that it could deliver a fresh gameplay experience to the loyal fans of this long-running franchise. A compass at the top of the screen will replace an in-game mini-map, and the sprint button has been discarded in place of speed based on the amount of pressure you place on the left-stick. Maybe this will be the Assassin's Creed to end those humdrum, real-world missions for good.

Ubisoft had plans for its Assassin's Creed in E3 this year.

The game is optimized for Microsoft's new Xbox One X where it will support both HDR and 4K Ultra HD when played on the console.

Meanwhile, we already know that a new Assassin's Creed is in the works - rumors suggest it'll take place in ancient Egypt - and we're likely to get a first glimpse of the game in action during Ubisoft's keynote. Everything is said to be climbed, and Eagle Vision returns through Senu.
