'Wonder Woman' powerful for young women - and young men

Recent movies about DC superheroes have made money. Also, being humble and kind like Diana Prince herself, Gal Gadot paused to share a thank you video. "She's Wonder Woman. She's got to come to America". Gadot, meanwhile, already has an option in place for Wonder Woman 2 as part of her overall DC movies contract. "On close-up I looked very much like Wonder Woman", she said.

Ultimately the film only had one scene reshot, when Gadot's Diana was walking towards the frontlines of World War I with Captain Steve Trevor (Chris Pine). "So when they gave her her own movie, I was super excited about the fact that she had her own standalone movie".

"Gal is such a wonderful person and was very helpful".

Over the weekend, Jenn and I joined a group of friends in seeing an opening night screening of Wonder Woman.

The 45-year-old filmmaker is yet to sign on the dotted line for a "Wonder Woman" follow-up.

As for the leading role, many feared that an actress - Gal Gadot in this case - would not be able to offer a supercharged performance capable of keeping an audience glued to their seats for two-and-a-half-hours.

Needless to say that after waiting 14 years to direct Wonder Woman and earning $103.3 million domestically in its opening week, the director has certainly earned the right to negotiate and Warner Bros. seems to agree.

To celebrate the successful release of Wonder Woman this month, Warner Bros. and DC have revealed a new store where you can buy lots of cool merchandise from the movie itself.

Convinced that World War I is the doing of Ares, she follows Trevor into battle trying to locate Ares to use the God Killer (a sword) to kill him and free the people from fighting each other.

The Hollywood Reporter's Scott Feinberg said he woke up to "a mailbox full of unsolicited comments" following the screening, which he stresses is highly unusual for any film, especially so far from nomination ballot time, which are generally announced in January.

Amy Rees Anderson, founder of REES Capital and the IPOP Foundation, agreed that the film matters just as much to young men as it does to young women.
